THE BIBLE |
We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, sufficient foundation for
teaching, faith and salvation through the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ.
All true Christian teaching will be in agreement with the Scripture.
|
|
ONE GOD |
We believe in one triune God existent in three persons,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
|
|
CHRIST |
We believe Jesus Christ to be God manifest in the flesh.
We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, divine miracles, vicarious,
atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, ascendance,
mediator work and visible return in power and glory.
|
|
SIN |
We believe in the total and universal sinfulness of mankind.
That in man's unregenerate state, he can do nothing pleasing to God,
and as a result, must face the universal and just punishment of God for sin.
|
|
SALVATION |
We believe the only escape for man from his lost condition is the mercy of God offered through
the blood of Jesus who suffered on our behalf. Access to this saving grace is gained through
faith and repentance. Following a person’s change of heart, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in
the new believer. This experience is described in scriptures as the new birth, and with the help
of the Holy Spirit, the new believer begins living in fellowship with and obedience to God.
The new Christian becomes a member of the universal body of Christ and should become an
active member of a local Church taking water baptism as a declaration of his new life in Christ.
|
|
HOLY SPIRIT |
We believe in the in filling or baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience available
for every believer as per the Scriptures. We also believe in the gifts of the Spirit
as exemplified in I Corinthians chapters 12 and 14, and which are given for
the edification of His Church and for power to do His work.
|
|
HIS BODY |
We believe in the spiritual unity of the body of Christ and the priesthood of all
true believers. We believe that all true Christians comprise the body of Christ
regardless of denomination.
|
|
RESPONSIBILITY |
We believe that all believers have a responsibility to lift up the name of Jesus
at all times. To evangelize and use their gifts to promote the gospel in all
situations from the family to the work place.
|
|
MISSIONS |
We believe one of the principle reasons the church was established was that the
gospel to be preached in the entire world. That every believer takes the burden
of missions as a priority and always seeks ways of being active in some way
large or small in world evangelism. |
