Many books could be written about the evangelistic activities of Christ is the Answer Crusades which grew from the grass roots of the Jesus People movement in the late 1960's and early 1970's.

Christ is the Answer Crusades was led by evangelistic minister Bill Lowery and his wife Sara Lowery. In the late 1960's and early 1970's Bill Lowery & Sara were preaching the gospel with a very small group of christians utilizing a tent and traveling from city to city supported originally by the Assembly of God churches.

In 1972, Bill Lowery met with Jim Palosaari. Jim Palosaari was director of the Milwaukee Jesus People Discipleship School which grew to approximately 200 disciples, eager to preach the gospel to all the world.

At that time Jim Palosaari was called to minister throughout Europe and the Milwaukee Jesus People Discipleship School was divided into four groups. The 1st group, Jim Palosaari's crew (The Jesus Family) settling in England.

The 2nd group became Jesus People USA originally lead by J. W. Herrin.

The 3th group was lead by Frank Bass, a Duluth Christian from the traditional church, kept a small number for JP Milwaukee's "Home Base," which was supposed to serve as a coordinating center.

The 4th group lead by Bill Lowery acquired approximately 100 of the youngest disciples into his tent ministry.

From 1972 to 1992 the CITA Tent Ministry traveled from city to city all throughout
the United States utilizing semi-trucks, buses, camper trucks, and a sundry of cars.

From the support of local churches and Christians who believed in the mission of Christ is the Answer, the tent ministry grew. In each city we when into they would hear the gospel of Jesus Christ one way or another. Nightly tent meetings were conducted along with daily street evangelism, skits and local church meetings.

The ministry living in tents and "by faith" that God would take care of our every need.

Many times we were arrested for preaching the gospel in malls and at Kmart's,
always under the premise of trespassing on private property.

1000's of Christians have been directly involved with the Christ is the Answer
ministries in one form or other. Many still preaching the gospel of our Lord today!
